Settling In [maybe]

The home repairs seem to be subsiding a bit. The garbage disposal hasn't been addressed yet, although we have discovered since last week that the problem is much worse than the dishwasher repairman thought it was. He patched one small-ish hole in the back, but as Fiance discovered last night (after putting an entire carrot into the disposal), there are two incredibly LARGE holes in it, one on the front and one on the side. Yes, that's right,  pieces of shredded up carrot were flung all over the cabinet and its contents.

Finally!

Everything is fixed (knock on wood...)! At least, everything from before. The dishwasher repairman was here today and so was the plumber. Hopefully all of our drainage pipes are cleaned out for good. However,

Hello all! I'm back to continue my adventure through the perils of moving.

The maintenance guy called us back while I was crying on the phone with my mom. He left a voicemail saying that they would "probably" be able to get out here in the morning, but to not use the water. At all. What??

New Townhouse!

Even though we're just renting it, our townhouse is great so far! We've been pretty good about staying optimistic. Since we first moved in a week and a half ago, there have been quite a few incidents to test our patience. Of course, we are bound by our lease, and nothing has been exactly catastrophic, but definitely tests of our commitment!
