BBQ Chicken Bake

This evening's dinner was a little different than the meals we usually make. I like different.

Excuse the lack of pictures, none of them turned out very well. Plus, there really isn't much to the recipe, so I think the pictures would be a bit redundant.

I found the recipe on sweetbabyrays.com. Now, this is not a sponsored post, I just decided to check their site when trying to plan tonight's dinner. I had some of their barbecue sauce leftover from a couple of weeks ago when they were BOGO at Publix.

So the recipe was submitted by a user. It's called "Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Chicken Bake." I chose it because it seemed to be the simplest and I had all of the ingredients on hand (minus a few chicken breasts).

Meet My Fiance

I've been given official permission to use Fiance's real name on here! I don't know why I never did before. I think I may have just wanted to make sure he didn't feel like his privacy had been invaded or anything. He had never mentioned that I couldn't... I was just being courteous, I suppose!

Homemade Bagel Bites

Tonight we made our own version of Bagel Bites. They're not really bite-size, but still, you get the idea. They actually turned out pretty well! We're on a tight budget this week, so Fiance decided to get creative with what we already had. He's so awesome :). He was even the one who suggested I blog about it! How sweet.

Hair Donut Braid Bun

Today I'd like to share something a little different. I'm usually not very good at doing my own hair and makeup, so they're usually both pretty plain. But every so often I have a creative boost and do something different - - and sometimes it turns out well! Today, for example, I used my hair donut (that I was reminded of thanks to this post yesterday) to make a bun on the crown of my head. However, I'd just worn my hair like this to work when I bought the donut, so I didn't want to do an exact repeat.

Save The Date Sign

Embarking on my engagement photos, I decided I wanted to make one of those adorable signs I've seen in so many save the date samples to use in a few of my pictures. While working on my budget, I thought it would be a good idea to limit the amount I spend on this project, since having the pictures done professionally isn't cheap in the first place (not to mention buying new clothes, getting my hair done, etc.). So as far as the amount I wanted to spend on the sign, the conclusion was: as little as humanly possible.

Scouring the internet for tutorials, I decided I would buy a piece of scrap wood, paint it, then weather it.

Well, that didn't quite work out as I had planned.

DIG Experiment #1

This morning I embarked on my first experiment from Do It Gorgeously, by Sophie Uliano. Since I don't have a collection of essential oils just yet (many of her homemade products use a plethora of these), I had to start with a technique I already had the supplies for: "Dry Skin Brushing."

My Green Journey

By, George, I've got it! I've decided what I will do to make my life greener, cheaper, and simpler, and in a way that will be easy to document on my blog! I will be working my way through this book:

So Long, Facebook...

It's been a few months now since I deleted my Facebook profile, and I'll admit...my life is so much better. It was no small task, deleting my profile.
